Keystone Building Ltd is a Tasman residential construction company, with teams based in Māpua, Motueka and Nelson.
As project manager Mike Stephenson has overall responsibility for quantity surveying, quoting, scheduling, materials order and supply and quality control. He is in daily contact with his teams and a regular onsite presence liaising with clients, builders and sub-contractors.Keystone Building has three teams that work independently or combine as needed for larger projects. Team members are either fully qualified builders (LBP) or experienced builders completing their qualifications through adult apprenticeships.

A high level of finish and attention to detail is a given for any builder who takes pride in their work, but it's what is underneath that shows true quality. We want our projects to last and provide value for money in terms of longevity. We pride ourselves on "going the extra mile- do it once and do it right." We build beyond the minimum building code, we add that larger stud, we use galvanized nails not 'brights' because they will last longer and grip better. We treat every project as if it was our own home and the level of the Keystone finish reflects that care and professionalism.
Keystone Building operates from a place of integrity and professionalism. Our quotes will be open book and realistic - we will not give you an "optimistic" quote to gain the contract and then run hugely over budget. As our testimonials prove- we will provide a comprehensive and informed quote and often deliver on or even under budget.
